These kind of accusations against a peaceful movement and tolerant faith such as the Baha’i
Faith only serve to highlight the spiritual and moral bankruptcy of those who perpetrate them.

It is totally unthinkable that a Baha’i would destroy the Qur’an or the Holy Book of any world religion. I became a Baha’i in Ireland more than 40 years ago and one of my first purchases on the advice of an Iranian believer, was a copy of the Qur’an because, as a Baha’i, I also accepted the station of Muhammad. The Baha’i Faith has its roots in Islam in the same way that Christianity came out of Judaism so to suggest that Baha’is could support such an abhorrent act is like saying that Christians would destroy copies of the Old Testament. Whatever those in power in Iran may say or do, the Qur’an is a respected Holy Book for Baha’s.

The newscasts of phone camera pictures indicates masses of youths from the universities in this political opposition. The Baha’is having been denied access to the universities could therefore not be involved. In any case it is against all Baha’i principles to denigrate another’s religion. This report is utter tosh and demeans its authors.

This sounds like the “proof” that the Nazi’s claimed to have of the Jews burning the Reichstag. This “proof” was then used to carry out the Nazi’s plan to exterminate the Jews. God protect the Iranian people from these thugs.
