Anniversary of 1983 Executions in Shiraz

During the month of June of 1983, approximately 20 Baha’is were killed in Shiraz. On June 18, 10 of the victims were women, some as young as 16 such as Mona Mahmudnizhad. They were executed by hanging for no other reason but their beliefs; being members of the Baha’i faith, whose members are still severely persecuted to this day with dozens of people still arrested or murdered.

We dedicate this day, June 18, to honor these innocent victims whose lives were brutally taken away from them. Let them represent the urgent need for religious freedom in Iran and beyond. Stay aware of current Baha’i persecutions and let’s all work hard together to make sure that crimes like these do nor occur again.

While we do not wish to limit conversations in any way, please note that insulting/abusive comments will be removed without hesitation.
