As a Baha'i, I have found myself defending Islam many times and I do not remain silent when people (no doubt stirred by the extremist attacks in the US and the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan) equate "all" Muslims as terrorists. So it is quite ironic that while we are defending His Holiness Muhammad amongst our own countrymen, some who claim to be His followers are persecuting Baha'is in their own countries. Some day, the veil of prejudice and ignorance shall be lifted universally and we shall live as one diverse family on this planet. As a Baha’i, I have found myself defending Islam many times and I do not remain silent when people (no doubt stirred by the extremist attacks in the US and the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan) equate “all” Muslims as terrorists.
So it is quite ironic that while we are defending His Holiness Muhammad amongst our own countrymen, some who claim to be His followers are persecuting Baha’is in their own countries.

Some day, the veil of prejudice and ignorance shall be lifted universally and we shall live as one diverse family on this planet.

The English word 'apostate' and the Arabic word 'murtad' etymologically both mean 'one who look backwards (in religion)', but everyone who becomes a Bahá'í makes a step forward, NOT backward, at the same way that a Christian that decides to become a Muslim.
