In a world where daily violence has become common, yet where mankind seeks to resolve such issues to create a better life for all mankind, it is sad that a disrespect for that thing, the law and equity, that protects us is exemplified by so many. It saddens me to see such darkness portray the actions of so many of mankind when all seek the light of God. This condition disables us from becomming friends, from realizing our best relationships, and from exemplifying the mercy and goodness of Him Who ceated us all. I fully realize the basis for these many acts, many of which are perpitrated in the name of a righteous deed. But we must cease to blind ourselves and look closely at the reality of both the act and what its final result may be. Does an act of injustice bring praise to its perpitrator? No, such an act is carried both in the heart on upon the face of that individual for his lifetime. A friend once told me, 'The mistakes of our youth never leave us"; and this is true. As I grow older, seeking forgiveness for my own many sins, each day an old forgotten sin comes to my mind that, Praise God with all of my heart, I may supplicate to Him for forgiveness and call myself to account. But I realize that the purpose of this is not to obtain forgiveness alone from God, but His gift as well to me that I may walk the staright and narrow path. O my brothers and sisters is Iran! Treat all of those among you with kindness and understanding, with true friendship and the mercy of justice. Let not a day go by that you do not consider the love of your neighbor, though he be as different from you as the Sun is different from the moon. Let eternal springtime abound in your heart that the joy of Him Whom thouh serve may res upon you and your famillies forever. DO not harm those who would serve you, the Baha'i's, those who live amongst you and who have no desire whatseoever save that of service at His Holy Threshold and to their brothers and sisters in Iran. Such a kindnes as this, will bring upon you great rewards, both spiritual and material, and in the next world you will be met with smiles of joy and kindness, and greetings of applause. Let it be that through you His Light shall shine forth, by your good deeds. May blessings for such good deeds decend upon you and your families and thereby cease all difference. May God bring such bounties to you always.
