Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

As Iran concludes its celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the rise of the Iranian revolution, we wish to congratulate you on the model of “brotherly life and understanding among nations” that Iran has created.

Today, not all heads of state can boast an educational system in which young pupils are deliberately sent to schools where their supposed educators ostracize them and insult the beliefs they hold dear.

Not all heads of state can declare they have an exemplary higher education system, whereby the most talented of students are disenrolled, simply for holding differing beliefs.

Not all heads of state can take pride in their nation systematically desecrating the cemeteries and holy sites of its largest religious minority.

Not all heads of state can laud clerics and religious leaders who preach hatred from their pulpits and explicitly incite their followers to attack their fellow citizens.

Not all heads of state can showcase a justice system where attacks against a vulnerable minority are not adequately investigated or prosecuted.

Indeed, Mr. President – Iran is almost unique amongst the world’s nations, and we congratulate you on your achievements.

While we do not wish to limit conversations in any way, please note that insulting/abusive comments will be removed without hesitation.
