Baha’is speak on Egyptian TV

After the disappointing postponement issued by Egypt’s Supreme Administrative Court yesterday, Dr. Raouf Hindi, father of the twins Nancy and Imad who are unable to obtain birth certificates, and Dr. Basma Moussa spoke (briefly) with with media outlets on the ruling.

It should be noted that over the past year, Egyptian media has been reporting on the discrimination of Baha’is in Egypt. Some of the coverage has been critical, but an overwhelming amount was supportive of the civil rights of Baha’is.

Baha’is must endure most sever test, face hardship after hardship and yet remain faithful
to the ordinances of God, for they are chosen to lay down the fundation of the oneness of human race upon which an enduring peace and an order the like of which humanity has never experienced in the past be established. May be Baha’is of Egypt are entrusted with even a greater responsibility for which they must pass through even a greater test. None of what is happening in Egypt and Iran is without the sanction of God. Yet what course of action is taken by the people and governemnt of Egypt is their choice for which they will have to answer before God. Those who believe in God will think twice.
