Court ruling delayed, again

In a few days, 9 months would have passed since the January 29 ruling of the Cairo Administrative Court that allowed Baha’is to list a ‘-’ under their religion field.

The case, however, continued to drag through courts after an lawyer Islamist lawyer launched an appeal against the ruling. While there were hopeful signs that the court would issue its final verdict on the 20th of October (an Baha’is around the world organized a prayer chain in solidarity with the Baha’i minority of Egypt), the decision was postponed again for the 3rd of November.

Our prayers are with the Baha’is of Egypt and it is our hope that justice will be served soon.
