Imagine an Iran where Baha’is are free to practise their faith. Imagine an Iran where Baha’is proudly proclaim their identity, without fear of retribution. Imagine an Iran where the National Spiritual Assembly is an active entity in leading the country towards progress. Imagine an Iran where the government actively seeks to protect Baha’i cemeteries and holy sites, and make necessary renovations.
We have a dream that one day in Shiraz, a city with a black history of persecution, little Baha’i boys and Baha’i girls will be able to join hands with little Muslim boys and Muslim girls as sisters and brothers.
Driven by that dream, our media team has created an ingenious satirical video, imagining a world where Ahmedinejad announces a dramatic shift in Iran’s oppressive policies.
This would be the epitome of leadership; and bring the whole world to a better understanding if Iran’s leadership would choose such a course. It is noted that even a most negative leadership, if turning to the paths of godliness, trustworthiness, justice and love, such will be heralded throughout the world as the brightest light in the darkness. It is unfortunate when the tenants of religion are turned towards negative assumption and actions. It is obvious to all that the purpose of the one true God is to cause mankind to join together in fairness and brotherhood. What harm could there be in this? Obviously none;for this unity would be the cause of the spiritual and material advancement of civilization to the greatest degree. All of that which is possible has already been created by God, though hidden from the eyes of mankind in varying degrees. The key to opeinging this vast and unending treasure lies in the recognition that all Revelation comes from the same God and that all religions are revealed from Him that has created all mankind. Likewise, He has revealed the physical world. God is the Infinite; and thus His creation, the possiblity of discovery, the promise of peace, all extend to an end that has no end. Should we deny ourselves this bounty from our own corruption and ego, or can we put these differences aside and enjoy the Bounties of God? Throughout history some have projected the thought that the world is ending; and while each date has passed by without this physical end, still, there are those who make such predicitons. But such predictions are limited to a man’s undersatnding and his immediate existance. One does not take into account the effect of the demise of earth on its own planetary system or the universe as a whole. From the standpoint of reason, such suppositions cannot be supported. We must look at the writings of visionaries in the spiritual, or symbolic sense. If we do this, we will find that the Revealers of God’s word are spiritually endowed with a knowledge that transcends the learned amongst us.
