The article notes that the “Muslim Network for Baha’i Rights” publicized the video however the title implies that the network is composed of or contributed by Baha’is. We’d just like to assure the journalist that this project is by independent Muslim activists.
Basma did a great job by correcting the slight mistake of the article in a blog entry.
Just a further comment to encourage support from our fellow Muslim readers:

Any religion, including the Baha’i Faith, is as good as the life its followers lead. Many Muslims are inspired by the positive teachings of Islam and live their lives in accordance with their own enlightened understanding of Islam. Egypt is and has been a cradle of enlightenment in the Arab/Muslim world. Arab/Moslims look up to Egypt as a leading society that sets the pace and examples for others. Hence, it is of paramount importance that Egypt takes the lead in granting the Baha’is and all others who are not members of the three “official” faiths full citizenship rights, granted to each human being by the universal Creator God. Egypt must remove shameful provisions of its unjust discriminatory laws. Egyptian people deserve better than being portrayed to the world as primitives who are ruled by tribal exclusionary mentality. Injustic, irrespective of kind and degree is most reviled by the all-just God. Baha’u'llah proclaims that the best beloved of all things in the sight of God is justice. We do well to uphold justice and pay tribute to our Cereator by never failing to live as “mosef,” — just.

Correction of a typo in my previous comment. The word is “monsef,” not “mosef.” The “n” was left out inadverdently. I am sure that the dear readers make allowances for typos and such given that these comments are made spontaneously and without running them through copy editing.

Thanks so much for civilized behavior for the muslim net work for Bahai rights, you prove practically that activists who believe in tolerance, coexistence and freedom must believe that values should apply it to all people equally regardless of their faith, cultural differences, political stance or nationality.. …. God blessed you , and help you in your aim.

In Egipt when some years ago a impartial local court analysed a bahá’í issue and decided in favour of Justice, that is called in Law, Jurisprudence, or precedent, and usually in countries where reigns justice and Equality, that is taken into account, where posterior decision is required.
When a Supreme Tribunal, judged, in the base of prejudice and conservation of tradition, that is not of Trust, and can be called even Error, because there are 4 ways of acquiring knowledge, and judge with justice can be called acquiring the knowledge of judging well:
That’s why in Law, like in any other science we have to use the scientific method, which is construction on the base of what we have already learn and not the negation of previous knowledge.
The four ways of acquiring Knowledge are the following:
The first is by the senses and it is not of trust, we can remember Galileo evidence, that opposed to the senses, that apparently showed that was the sun that was moving around the earth.
The second way, by the reason, is also not of trust, we can find numerous examples, Reason before Galileu would lead to the Earth being the Center of the Universe.
The third is by tradition and interpretation of the Holy Writings, and also these are not of trust. Frequent times, interpretation and tradition manifest error, because interpretation is limiteded by the limited view of the interpreter, and the evidence of the error of tradition is manifest in questioner of Mirzá Abdul Fazl, that asked if not in accordance to Islamic tradition the dogs are not impure, and if it was not true that the rain that falls from the sky doesn’t purify everything. But if rain touches a dog, that could be in the street, it would be impure or dirty, and would impure and dirty everything. But we know in reality that rain always cleans with or without dogs in the street, so tradition is not of trust, it frequently mislead us.
The fourth is by the action of the Holy Spirit, through which, in fact, if we are clean and pure mirrors, can reflect the Light of Truth and Justice, and can see Reality.
Only when we see with our own eyes and not of the blind imitation of the others, and of prejudice, we can find the truth of the reflection of the Holy Spirit in our mirror soul, that has to be clean, we have the infallible way of seeing the Truth and attain Justice.
In a court for the judgement to be of trust, also the Light of the Holy Spirit have to be manifested, if we see facts without prejudice, with a pure and clean heart, with Equity, which is equality of treatment to all.
Prejudice and intolerance can only lead to ignorance and misjudgement, thus injustice, because Justice can only be attained through Equality.
In a court, Justice can only be attained if there is independent search of truth, without influence ( abuse of power ) or prejudice.

“Al nafso amaraton bel su,” (the self compels to evil) is an Islamic saying. And it is indeed the case that human nature’s default mode is satanic. It is for this very same reason that the loving Creator God sends us Teachers (Baha’is call them Manifestations of God) to help us free ourselves from the stranglehold of our lower nature and to assist us in our struggle to become angelic.
Therefore, purveyors of the demonic such as the vested-interest clergy have an easy time to fill the minds and hearts of their congregations with hatred of the people they label infidel, unbeliever, apostate, and so forth. The mullahs and imams who divide the children of God by preaching the gospel of hate are guilty of working against the teachings true prophets of God. The people who blindly accept these virulent pronouncements of clergy are just as guilty by conveniently succumbing to the tendencies of their lower nature while rationalizing their actions by considering themselves pious and loyal followers of the faith of Islam.
Baha’u’llah emphatically forbids all thoughts and acts of exclusion, hatred and injustice. He addresses humanity, on behalf of God: Ye are the fruits of one tree and the leaves of one branch. Baha’is subscribe wholeheartedly to this lofty teaching and strive to live with love and harmony with all people, irrespective of any and all considerations.

We can see that some radical people shudder at the thought of human rights and equality. Actually pejudice is not only a social problem in middle east and muslim countries but we can see that people face to different kinds of prejudice in any part of the world.
As an Iranian Bahai student I realy appriciate the activities of this site. I have to say that not only the Bahai people but the Muslims will better-off from these activities too.
Now a day you see some prejudices about Muslims in the west countries. unfortunately they have this wrong idea that all the Muslims are terrorist. Such activities like this site prove that Muslims are civilized and intelectual people and they aren’t terrorist.

Osama, it is deplorable that you consider equality and human rights a form of “corruption.” Members of this campaign are proud Muslims who value their faith and we are very tired of the tedious mentality that justifies unjust abuse and extremism against innocent individuals whose only ‘crime’ is practicing another faith. Don’t you know and respect your own religion?! Who are you to claim superiority? You are simply a human being, nothing more, and not any more deserving of human rights than anyone else! Stop the injustice in the name of Islam! In the eyes of Allah, we are ALL equal. Allah will be the one to judge others when the time comes, NOT you or anyone else! Respect His creation, respect humanity! Enough crimes.
