Video documenting Egyptian Baha’is, the faith itself, and the hateful accusations Egyptian Baha’is face in their societies:

  1. Living in a country they so dearly love, showered with hateful comments, and deprived of their basic human and civil rights only because of their religion shows the quality and resilience of this small minority. The Baha’i community match this hate by its opposite: love, patience, perseverance, prayers, and strength.

Please let us know when the video becomes available in its entirety.

  2. It must be noted that despite these significant abuses, the Baha’is never fought back through violence, which tells us a lot about their faith and their intentions. Why not treat a peaceful minority with peace? Are they not citizens of these countries? Are they less than human, less deserving of equal rights?

Our hope through this network is to mobilize Muslims worldwide in support of their Baha’i brethren - a lot of people mistake this statement for conversion. This is not a question of faith, we are all free to believe what we want to believe and this should be respected. This is a question of disgraceful laws and human rights abuses against a minority whose only difference is religion.

  3. Muslims should honor the Baha’i Faith, if for nothing else, for confirming the divine nature of Islam to people who previously had no regards, nay were hostile, to the Faith of Muhammad. The Baha’i Faith is far from being a “sect.” It is a worldwide religion of great spiritual teachings appropriate for the age. Thank you for reciprocating the services that the Baha’is have rendered and continue to render to Islam.
